MEMS and Generative AI

UF’s Center for Medieval and Early Modern Studies is currently engaged in interdisciplinary research and instructional practices exploring the production of historically accurate event simulations aided by responsible uses of generative Artificial Intelligence. “Responsible uses” means for the faculty team as “true” as possible to the physical principles & technologies under study in engineering and the sciences and as true as possible to influential medieval understandings of the metaphysical organization of the world under study in the Humanities. For more information contact Will Hastyhasty@ufl.edu, Mary Watt marywatt@ufl.edu,or visit the True Digital Poiesis Project homepage: https://lalicenter.languages.ufl.edu/true-digital-poiesis/

Generative AI is currently being used for the generation of disciplined historical simulations in the course MEM 3510: Engineering the European Middle Ages.
