Congratulations to Jamie Paul for graduating Summa Cum Laude from UF with an IDS Major in Medieval and Early Modern Studies!
Her IDS thesis, titled “Hands of Our Ancestors: How Viking Mythology Crafts Material Culture,” was directed by Drs. Valerie Hampton and Florin Curta. Next fall, Jamie will begin studies at the University of York, England, for their Digital Heritage MSc.
Jamie Paul’s thesis supervisor Dr. Valerie Hampton—as it happens—was the first UF student to graduate with an IDS major in MEMS in 2003! Valerie went on to earn her doctorate in Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University and is currently Adjunct Assistant Instructional Professor in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at UF.
