The Minor in MEMS consists of 18 credit hours of course work distributed as follows:
- No more than 9 hours of introductory course work at the 2000 level;
- 9 credit hours of upper-division course work, of which at least 3 must be at the 4000 level.
Since work with different languages is a necessary part of MEMS, an additional requirement is completion of a 2000 level course (3 hours) in a foreign language.
